On Saturday 16 November, we are hosting a gala that subverts and surprises, inspired by René Magritte's surrealist legacy. All proceeds will go the Foundation’s 40th anniversary acquisition fund for the acquisition of Juan de Zurbarán's Still life with apples on a pewter plate and a pear c1641 for the Art Gallery of New South Wales collection.

The dress code black, white and a touch of surreal invites you to embrace the theme of surrealism. Please find here a gallery of elegant and wonderfully outrageous ways in which people have reflected the surrealist art movement through costume.
